ACIA’s vision is for an aged care sector that is valued, trusted and respected for its commitment to high-quality care for our elder Australians, and for the value it contributes to our society and economy.

ACIA CEO, Luke Westenberg says, “It is an exciting time to be an aged care provider in Australia as there have been significant changes to legislation, policy and providers since the beginning of the year, creating a contemporary marketplace driven by the consumer and supported through innovative solutions.”

He continued, “It is also an exciting time for South Australia to be able to showcase these new models for supporting our industry and Ubercare are part of this equation. We respect the need for diversity in the age care provider space, especially in a market driven by the consumer.”

The Ubercare service is designed to complement any current care arrangements by a consumer, not replace them. As there are no contracts or upfront fees, Ubercare’s take up within this niche provides a backup plan for consumers when help is needed at the last minute, meaning our aged Australians will certainly benefit.

As a new member with the Aged Care Industry Association, Ubercare provides a new interface into the aged care industry and its service to the community.

The Ubercare service is designed to complement any current care arrangements, not replace them, or provide that ‘one-off’ episode of care and assistance.

ACIA’s focus is for showcasing Australia as a leading, contemporary, best practice aged care provider, ensuring Aged Care is valued across our entire community body, influencing a positive understanding of aged care, in a contemporary marketplace.

The brainchild behind Ubercare is no newbie when it comes to aged care. It's Managing Director, Simon Chappel is a born entrepreneur, with a successful history in retirement living and property development – including being a founding partner of the $165 million dollar Finders Link development and a founding partner of the $80 million dollar “On Statenborough”, a 134 dwelling retirement complex, awarded ‘Best Seniors Living’ in Australia 2012.

Simon is dedicated to the notion of helping the ageing population live well in their homes longer.

Ubercare have demonstrated respect for the aged care sector, with all Ubercarers attaining the Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care, Disability or Home and Community Care) or a higher qualification.
